We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sea Logistics Business Development Manager to drive growth and expand our market presence in Johor. This role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of sea freight logistics and a proven track record in developing strategic business relationships.

You will focus on developing and diversifying business in line with financial and volume targets. You will do this by working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, focusing on the following key objectives:

1. Own, monitor, and drive all sales activities for customers within your control, including preparing quotations, ensuring prospects are identified, qualified, and nurtured through the sales pipeline to close profitable and sustainable customer deals.
2. Align your sales efforts with Customer Care Location (CCL) Managers, Pricing, and Sea Logistics Business Development teams, including pricing decisions.
3. Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing and products.
4. Report customer feedback to the CCL team and support resolutions as required.
5. Collaborate with CCL colleagues when onboarding new customers.
6. Maintain and update relevant customer information in internal systems.
7. Regularly review customer portfolios with CCL Managers and teams.
8. Enhance customer engagement, satisfaction, retention, and reactivation through high-quality service in collaboration with the CCL team.

Your strong focus on customer and stakeholder relationships, along with effective time management, will be key to your success. You are suitable for this role because of your knowledge of our operations and key attributes such as:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proven success in business development within the sea logistics industry, especially in freight forwarding or related sectors.
• Strong understanding of sea freight logistics, including pricing, routing, and operational requirements.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strategic thinking ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
