Executing project deliverables in 3D modelling and drafting works using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

Assist with drawings for tender preparation where required.

This role is primarily supporting the CAPS engineering team in 3D model creation and detailed drawing creation.

All other reasonable Engineering supports and Engineering administration duties as and when requested by the Manager that are within your skills and capabilities.

Conduct my work tasks, with a safety-first mindset at all times to ensure my own personal safety and the safety of those around me.

Efficiently create neat and comprehensible models and drawings, with relevant info included considering the interests of stakeholders. Drawings including but is not exhaustive:

• Individual component 3D models and drawings.
• Skid / General Arrangement 3D assembly models and drawings.
• Exploded view drawings, including Bill of Materials.
• P&ID and process flow diagrams.
• Electrical schematic diagrams.

Apply standardisation in formatting of all drawing creations, including but is not exhaustive:

• Title blocks
• Font types and sizes
• View projections
• Standardised drawing revision alpha numeric.

Work with the Manager to establish clear prioritisation and reasonable utilisation in drawing capacity for on-going project drawing support.

Establish and Manage drawing database (currently Windows folders) using both AutoCAD and SolidWorks, or any CAD applications within your skill set.

Drawing database involves components, equipment and packages for all product range within CAPS portfolio.

To ensure timely submission and turnaround of all assigned drawing tasks.

To complete daily task timesheets.

To submit regular reports on works performed, and as when required by the Manager.

Conduct the work according to the Company’s quality plan and project quality requirements under ISO9001:2015.

To always work efficiently and comply with all Company policies and procedures, which may, and do change, from time to time.

To comply with all health and safety requirements as specified by CAPS Australia and that also specified by local government regulations at all times.

Participate actively in CAPS Safety toolbox meetings.

To take up any other lawful or reasonable work duties as required by the Company which is in the capacity and technical capability of the CAD Engineer, as required by the Manager.

• Demonstrate good time management skills with minimal delays in getting tasks done within reasonable period.
• Demonstrate good planning and monitoring in ensuring items/schedules susceptible to expiry dates will not be overdue.
• Able to multitask, show good judgement in prioritising tasks based on importance and urgency of multiple on-going tasks and the subsequent communications with stakeholders.
• Adapt a mentality of getting tasks done before a given deadline from the managers, regardless of the customer requirement.

• Meticulously address details in terms of drawing content / order / naming / numbering / revision.

• Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Minimum 3 years working experience in 3D CAD and drawing preparations.
• Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or similar are highly regarded.
• Must be highly competent and trained in Solidworks 2023 or higher.
• Must be highly competent in AutoCAD 2D drafting.
• Competent in Microsoft Office.
• Experienced in designing equipment skid assemblies for packaged equipment.
• Familiar with steel structures / piping / valves / instrumentations.
• Individual who pays high attention to details.
• Result oriented, with high sense of urgency and persistency.
• Individuals who are willing to learn. On-the-job guidance will be provided.
• Familiarity in compressed air technology will be a distinct advantage.
• Candidates selected for interview will be required to present a portfolio of their own original work.
