Financial Reporting Analyst (Contract)
Job summary
A leading chemical manufacturing company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a finance professional to support daily financial reporting. The role requires a degree in Accounting or Finance and a minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting. Candidates should be familiar with the SAP system and possess strong analytical and communication skills. This position offers a renewable contract from Monday to Friday with a structured working schedule.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience in accounting/financial reporting.
- Experience in Shared Services / MNC environment is an advantage.
- Familiar with SAP system.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily financial reporting transaction support.
- Record, review, and analyse accounting transactions.
- Prepare month-end, quarter-end, year-end financial reporting.
- Resolve financial reporting issues with stakeholders.

Our client is one of the leading chemical manufacturer company. They carry out the production, marketing and sales of chemicals, plastics, and crop protection products.
Contract Position (Renewable & Convertible)
Monday - Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm
- Provide daily financial reporting transaction support, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of work.
- Record, review, and analyse accounting transactions, including fixed assets, master data maintenance, and account reconciliations with timely clearing of balances.
- Perform analytical reviews of profit and loss accounts and balance sheets, including trend analysis and transaction checks.
- Prepare and support month-end, quarter-end, year-end, and statutory financial reporting, including group reporting, management reports, audit schedules, and tax schedules.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve financial reporting issues in collaboration with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in cross-functional working groups and contribute subject-matter expertise to projects and improvements.
- Provide backup support and perform additional duties as assigned when required.
- Degree in Accounting / Finance / Business or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years experience in accounting/financial reporting (open to strong junior profiles)
- Experience in Shared Services / MNC environment is an advantage
- Familiar with SAP system
- Proficiency in MS Office tools and excellent communication skills in English.
