A leading global IT services company is looking for a Network and Security Operations specialist in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years of experience in network support, hands-on knowledge in network implementation, and strong skills in Firewalls, VPN, and LAN operations. Familiarity with Palo Alto and Cisco products is essential. This role requires excellent collaboration skills to work with global peers and adapt to fast-paced changes.

Qualifications

Job description

This service is responsible for Network & Security operations. Supporting Security baselining, Firewalls, VPN, Data Center, Campus LAN, Wi‑Fi & WAN. This service requires to work with the rest of network peers globally. Candidate must be familiar with Network Firewalls, Security products, Network segmentation – particularly in financial services institution, on complex multi‑tenant infrastructure. Exposure to Public Cloud network and on prem private cloud environments is an advantage. The candidate should possess excellent collaboration and team player expertise, pleasant personality, and a fast learner to adapt for dynamic changes.

Requirements

• Fundamental understanding of TCP/IP and networking protocols
• Hands‑on expertise in configuration and troubleshooting in Routing & switching
• Hands on expertise in Security products like Firewalls, VPN, Web Proxy, Cisco ISE, IPS, etc. In depth understanding and troubleshooting expertise with preferably Palo Alto FWs is an advantage.
• Expertise in Security management tools like AlgoSec Firewall Analyzer, Fireflow.
• Expertise in Campus LAN, Wireless networks with Cisco WLC, Aironet APs, implementation, refresh and troubleshooting complex issues in Wireless infra.
• Expertised in Network Hardware refresh, OS upgrade and patching.
• Good understanding of DHCP, DNS and IP address management tools
• Expertise in Data Center products, Cisco Nexus, ACI, F5 LTM will be an advantage
• Expertise in Public cloud Networking, Private cloud, VMware NSX‑T, SDN technologies will be an advantage
• Good understanding of SNMP and API based monitoring tools, Logic Monitor, SolarWinds, NetScout. Automation and scripting expertise will be an advantage
• Good understanding of ITIL processes; Service request, Change, Problem & Incident handling
• Able to document operational support procedures, network diagrams for operation support and audit purposes

Qualifications

• University Degree / Diploma from reputed Institution

• Certifications from Leading Product Vendors like Palo Alto, F5, Checkpoint.

• Firewalls: Palo Alto Firewall troubleshooting skill : 3 years relevant experience.
• Load Balancer: F5 LTM : 3 years relevant experience.
• Wireless: Cisco Wireless APs & WLC.: 3 years relevant experience.
