A Director of Sales manages the hotel sales and marketing plans by recommending growth efforts, monitoring progress, and ensuring that the hotel is competitively positioned within the local marketplace.
What will I be doing?
As Director of Sales, you will work closely with the Senior Management Team to drive business needs and expand existing business through promotional efforts and sales channels. You will develop the sales team and foster high performance. Specific responsibilities include:
- Manage hotel sales and marketing plans to support business objectives and focus sales efforts across market segments.
- Collaborate with the Senior Management Team to identify and support key business areas.
- Prepare hotel contracts aligned with current business and pricing conditions.
- Monitor offers, options, and discounts for repeat bookings in cooperation with the Group Coordinator.
- Develop the sales team through leadership, participation in hiring, and supporting their success.
- Manage forecasting processes with the Revenue Department and prepare reports such as forecasts, lead management, and booking reports.
- Contribute to the annual Sales and Market Plan, quarterly updates, and hotel budgets; implement strategies to adapt to market changes.
- Support the development of sales and marketing initiatives through local activities.
- Communicate the hotel's products and services effectively through sales channels.
- Generate timely reports to inform management decisions.
- Present monthly sales activities and contributions to hotel owners and senior management.
- Coordinate with Reservations and Banqueting Departments to enhance guest experience and sales programs.
- Participate in management meetings to develop sales and marketing strategies.
