Job description

When you work in Hawaii, in addition to learning about the functional aspects of running a hotel — like the proper way to make a bed or how to best handle luggage — it’s critically important to understand Hawaiian culture and the spirit of ‘ohana, or ‘family.’ When opening the first Andaz property in Hawaii, our team participated in Hawaiian culture training to help us understand what ‘ohana truly means.

Responsibilities
  1. Establish strategies and contracting for Grand Hyatt Dubai’s new Waterpark opening in 2024.
  2. Proactively find opportunities for business growth by securing the development of the existing portfolio, while simultaneously acquiring new accounts.
  3. Entertain and conduct hotel inspections with partners.
  4. Engage in weekly sales activities to ensure continuous business growth (Sales Calls, Site Inspections, Entertainment, Sales Blitz).
  5. Conduct extensive competitor research and maintain excellent product knowledge of the hotel.
  6. Understand the needs of DMC/Tour Operators to build “win-win strategic partnerships”.
  7. Work closely with operational departments to meet guest expectations.
  8. Achieve personal sales targets.
  9. Ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and hotel policies.
  10. Support team members as needed.
  11. Maintain positive interactions with guests and colleagues, fostering good working relationships.
  12. Keep all employees updated on hotel product knowledge, current promotions, policy changes, and internal communications.
  13. Develop the skills and abilities of Sales Coordinators through training, coaching, and mentoring.
Qualifications
  1. Experience in attractions or waterpark pro-active sales.
  2. Experience as a Sales Executive is advantageous.
  3. Strong team development and leadership skills.
  4. Good administrative, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  5. Excellent communication, sales, and customer service skills.
  6. Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines.
  7. Current knowledge of industry trends and regulations.

Location: Hyatt Regency Lake Washington at Seattle's Southport | Renton, WA, US
