Job summary
A leading human resources consultancy in Stellenbosch seeks an experienced legal consultant. The role involves drafting commercial agreements, providing legal advice, and managing compliance processes. Ideal candidates will hold an LLB degree, be admitted as an attorney, and have 5 to 8 years of post-qualification experience in corporate and commercial law. Applications can be sent via email.
Qualifications

- Deep understanding of the Companies Act and JSE Listing Requirements.
- Experience in general corporate law and commercial law.
Responsibilities
- Draft commercial agreements as per requirements.
- Support the Corporate Legal Counsel in providing legal assistance.
- Manage outsourcing of legal work and conduct necessary legal research.

- Draft commercial agreements according to the requirements of RMS and other operational subsidiaries.
- Provide commercial legal advice to various internal stakeholders.
- Support the Corporate Legal Counsel in providing legal assistance to the investment and corporate finance teams.
- Manage the outsourcing of any legal work that may be required.
- Conduct legal research where necessary.
- Provide reports to all relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure that all high-risk compliance risk management processes are in place for the relevant area of responsibility.
- LLB Degree
- Admitted as attorney in the Republic of South Africa
- 5 to 8 years post-qualification experience
- A deep understanding of the Companies Act and JSE Listing Requirements.
- Experience in general corporate law and commercial law – including strong drafting experience.
