Job summary
A manufacturing company based in George is seeking a Health & Safety Officer to ensure workplace safety and compliance with health and safety legislation. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in health and safety, strong communication skills, and relevant qualifications. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, maintaining safety policies, providing training, and investigating incidents. This full-time position offers a monthly salary ranging from R22,000 to R24,000.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Health & Safety Officer, preferably in a manufacturing or textile environment.
- In-depth knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and best practices.
- Ability to work independently.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
- Maintain and update Health & Safety policies and safety procedures.
- Provide safety training and awareness to staff.
- Investigate incidents and recommend preventive measures.
- Liaise with management on safety matters.
