The Chief Executive Officer provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and advocacy to advance palliative care and the interests of its members in South Africa, securing APCC's role as a thought leader and an Ambassador for palliative care.
The role involves managing the organisation's training, mentorship, and accreditation programmes, ensuring financial sustainability, and representing APCC at national and international levels.
The CEO will work closely with the Board, member organisations, other organisations within the palliative care sector, government and donors to enhance and expand access to quality palliative care services in South Africa.
The appointed individual is expected to have the following experience and qualifications:
