A financial services company in Pietermaritzburg is looking for an accounting support professional to assist in managing accounts payable and receivable, ensure accuracy in invoicing, and handle banking transactions. The ideal candidate has experience with SAP and a relevant qualification in Finance or Accounting. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for this role.

- Proven experience in financial or accounting support roles.
- Experience with debit / creditors will be an advantage.
- Basic computer literacy is required.

- Handle banking transactions and cash flow monitoring.

Assist in the management of accounts payable and receivable.
Process and verify invoices ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policy.
Handle banking transactions, reconciliations, and cash flow monitoring.
Manage petty cash and ensure proper record-keeping.
Create, monitor, and process purchase orders.
Conduct float checks and maintain accurate records.
Assist with financial reporting and documentation as required.
Ensure compliance with financial procedures and internal controls.
Support the Financial Controller in daily finance operations.
Desired Experience & Qualification Proven experience in financial or accounting support roles.
Experience with SAP is essential.
Experience with debit / creditors will be an advantage.
Knowledge of banking procedures, petty cash management, and purchase orders.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Basic computer literacy (MS Office and finance systems).
Relevant tertiary qualification or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
Experience in a similar role within a financial department.
