A prominent international cooperation agency is seeking a Procurement and Contracting Specialist based in Pretoria, South Africa. The role involves leading procurement and contracting processes across South Africa, Lesotho, and Eswatini, ensuring compliance with guidelines, and managing logistics. Candidates should have a degree in relevant fields and at least 5 years of professional experience, along with strong organizational and communication skills. Take on a central role in strengthening sustainable procurement and contracting across South Africa, Lesotho and Eswatini as the Procurement and Contracting Specialist, reporting to the Head of Unit: Procurement and Contracting and based at the GIZ Country Office in Hatfield, Pretoria.

The GIZ Country Office in Hatfield, Pretoria supports technical projects and partners across South Africa, Lesotho and Eswatini and provides regional procurement and contracting services that enable effective programme delivery across the portfolio.
You bring a structured, reliable and solutions-oriented approach to procurement and contracting. You understand the importance of compliant, transparent and sustainable procurement within a complex organisational environment and work comfortably across multiple projects and stakeholders. You are confident operating within established rules, systems and processes and value accuracy, accountability and collaboration in your work.

Minimum 5 years professional experience in a comparable position. Excellent knowledge of procurement procedures.
In this role you will lead and manage procurement and contracting processes in line with GIZ rules, regulations and guidelines. You will support projects and programmes across South Africa, Lesotho and Eswatini by ensuring timely, compliant and high-quality procurement, logistics and contracting services.
