Flender South Africa is seeking a skilled Business Development Manager for the Industrial Gear Unit and Coupling business. The role focuses on driving growth through new and existing markets, extensive travel across Africa, and expanding revenue via third‑party repairs.

Responsibilities
  • Manage business development activities within the assigned organizational units
  • Align sales strategies and identify new business opportunities
  • Develop and implement function‑related strategies, policies, and guidelines
  • Drive the exploitation of vertical and product markets
  • Contribute to the development of corporate or unit business strategy
  • Provide guidance and administration of Business Development policies, programs, and standards
  • Develop strategic planning tools and provide consolidated business forecasts
  • Collect portfolio requirements across the regional sales force
  • Advise senior management on strategic options and evaluate potential acquisitions or joint venture candidates
  • Contribute to various projects with a strategic perspective
  • Manage market and business research programs
  • Analyze and evaluate strategic business segments
Requirements
