Senior Civil Engineer / Technologist | Bulk Water Conveyance - (ENG-L6)

We are seeking a Professionally Registered Civil Engineer or Technologist experienced in civil engineering projects, especially bulk water conveyance (pipelines, pump stations, reservoirs, infrastructure), to join our Water team in Cape Town.

1. Manage projects related to bulk water conveyance.
2. Perform complex designs, calculations, and analysis for pipelines, pump stations, reservoirs, and infrastructure throughout project lifecycle—from planning to construction and completion.
3. Conduct hydraulic modeling and simulations using tools like EPANET, InfoWater, or WaterGEMS.
4. Coordinate design with other disciplines (structural, fire, mechanical, electrical), develop 3D models, technical drawings, specifications, and quantify materials.
5. Prepare technical reports, specifications, and procurement documentation.
6. Administer construction contracts, including site supervision and dealing with queries.
7. Collaborate across disciplines and geographies, ensuring quality standards are met.

• BEng / BSc / BTech or equivalent in Civil Engineering.
• Post-graduate qualification is advantageous.
• Registered as a Professional Engineer or Technologist with ECSA, with proof of submission.
• Minimum 5 years' post-graduate experience in civil engineering projects, especially in bulk conveyance.
• Experience across full project lifecycle, from planning to construction.
• Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of MS Projects is a plus.
• Construction project management experience; familiarity with GCC and FIDIC contracts.
• Knowledge of 3D design software (Autodesk suite) is advantageous.
