Description

SSK currently has the following career opportunity at its Grain Department in Swellendam. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Manager: Grain.

Responsibilities

The suitable candidate will be responsible for, among others, the following duties:

  • Providing day-to-day administrative support to the Grain Administrative team.
  • Stock administration, including stock transfers, issuing silo certificates, and grain payments.
  • Weekly and Monthly stock returns to SAGIS and SAFEX.
  • Handling stock and account enquiries from producers and grain buyers.
  • Issuing order numbers and reconciling supplier invoices.
  • Issuing journals, invoices, and credit notes.
  • Handling basic enquiries and communication with Grain depots.
Requirements
  • A relevant qualification together with at least five years of experience.
  • Proven experience in handling related administration is required.
  • A strong accounting background and computer skills are essential.
  • SAP or similar systems will be an advantage for the candidate.
  • An eye for detail and the delivery of accurate work are essential.
  • The ability to work under pressure and long hours during the season is required.
