Job summary
A leading consultancy firm in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Cloud Engineer to enhance their Digital Marketing and IT services. Responsibilities include optimizing network architecture, implementing security measures, and disaster recovery planning. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in IT and strong cloud computing experience, especially with AWS. Additional knowledge of Linux and automation is preferred.

Our client is looking for a Cloud Engineer to support a rapidly expanding Digital Marketing and IT consultancy company based in Kuala Kuala Lumpur.
- Analyze network performance, resolve complex network problem, and optimize network architecture
- Implement ways to deal with web attacks and security issues like DDOS attacks and penetration.
- Plan and execute disaster recovery activities
- Deliver continuous improvement & maintenance of the cloud environment
- Actively monitor the usage patterns of the suite of applications and preemptively identify abnormal behaviors and respond accordingly
- Work closely with clients and application teams to advise on best practices and optimal cloud-based architecture for their needs
- Bachelor degree in Telecommunication / IT / Computer Science or relevant field
- Strong understanding of cloud computing, including the various cloud deployment models, cloud service models, and cloud deployment architectures on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Experience with other China-based solutions such as Tencent Cloud, Alibaba Cloud and Huawei Cloud would be advantageous
- Experience with AWS’s Auto Scaling and Load Balancing will be an added advantage
- Familiar with Linux commands, Certification in Linux Server will be an added advantage(eg: Red Hat Enterprise Linux or Oracle Enterprise Linux)
- Experience with scripting and automation tools, able to use the shell script
- Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
- Self-driven and perform duties and responsibilities independently with minimum supervision
- Curious-minded, proactive and willing to learn new technology
