Senior System Administrator

Overview

Our client is looking for a Senior System Administrator to support a rapidly expanding Digital Marketing and IT consultancy company based in Kuala Lumpur.

Responsibilities

• Managing software/OS licensing, updates, and patching
• Improve the current servers/infrastructures' availability, response time, and scalability
• Implement ways to deal with web attacks and security issues like DDOS attacks and penetration
• Plan and execute disaster recovery activities
• Monitor and optimize network and systems performance
• Identity and access management

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or relevant field
• At least 3 years of related work experience in administration of Linux systems
• Familiar with Linux commands; certification in Linux Server will be an added advantage (e.g., Red Hat Enterprise Linux or Oracle Enterprise Linux)
• Knowledge and experience in managing MySQL database server (replication, read/write splitting and clustering, offsite backup)
• Experience with scripting and automation tools
• Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
• Curious-minded, proactive and willing to learn new technology
