Cloud Engineer

Overview

Our client is looking for a Cloud Engineer to support a rapidly expanding Digital Marketing and IT consultancy company based in Kuala Kuala Lumpur.

Responsibilities

• Analyze network performance, resolve complex network problem, and optimize network architecture
• Implement ways to deal with web attacks and security issues like DDOS attacks and penetration.
• Plan and execute disaster recovery activities
• Deliver continuous improvement & maintenance of the cloud environment
• Actively monitor the usage patterns of the suite of applications and preemptively identify abnormal behaviors and respond accordingly
• Work closely with clients and application teams to advise on best practices and optimal cloud-based architecture for their needs

Qualifications / Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Telecommunication / IT / Computer Science or relevant field
• Strong understanding of cloud computing, including the various cloud deployment models, cloud service models, and cloud deployment architectures on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Experience with other China-based solutions such as Tencent Cloud, Alibaba Cloud and Huawei Cloud would be advantageous
• Experience with AWS’s Auto Scaling and Load Balancing will be an added advantage
• Familiar with Linux commands, Certification in Linux Server will be an added advantage(eg: Red Hat Enterprise Linux or Oracle Enterprise Linux)
• Experience with scripting and automation tools, able to use the shell script
• Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
• Self-driven and perform duties and responsibilities independently with minimum supervision
• Curious-minded, proactive and willing to learn new technology
