Job summary
A leading property development firm is seeking a Development Manager to oversee high-rise projects in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This role requires managing the full development lifecycle, from feasibility studies to stakeholder engagement and project execution. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering and at least 10 years of experience in development management. Strong skills in financial modeling and risk assessment are essential for success in this position.
Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering preferred.
- 10 years experience as project manager/development manager.
- Experienced with end‑to‑end development management.
- Independent & fast thinker.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed feasibility studies to determine project viability.
- Manage the entire land acquisition and due diligence process.
- Oversee project management and construction phase.
- Maintain rigorous budgetary and cash flow control.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams.

- Project Initiation & Feasibility: Conduct detailed feasibility studies (financial modeling, risk assessment, and market analysis) to determine project viability and potential ROI.
- Manage the entire land acquisition and due diligence process, including site selection, zoning compliance, and entitlement procedures.
- Execution & Financial Control: Oversee the project management and construction phase, tracking schedules, managing contracts, and monitoring quality control.
- Maintain rigorous budgetary and cash flow control, identifying and mitigating financial risks throughout the development timeline.
- Stakeholder & Sales: Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, government bodies, community groups, and internal leadership.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to formulate the project’s strategy for successful leasing or disposal of the completed product.
