Reports To: Guest Service Manager. The Room Division Supervisor will report to the Assistant Front Office Manager in the absence of the Guest Service Manager.

Basic Function: To supervise the work and activities of the Front Office and Uniform Service sections, and to uphold the standard of quality service of the hotel as set by the Management.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
  • Print House Report to establish the day’s bookings for maximising room sales and occupancy.
  • View Arrival Report to determine the day’s reservations and supervise booking arrangements and room assigning based on guests needs and desired room types.
  • Supervise current House Status Report on room availability to verify room assigning and keep out double check-ins.
  • Authorise room change in settlement or room type disputes.
  • Supervise employees in processing guest check-in and check-outs.
  • Assist to ensure good order of Front Office accounting practices via cash float, cash taking, cash disbursements, financial conventions and records.
  • Verify rate variances and supervise accuracy and good order of the day’s activities.
  • Uphold room reservations procedures and policies.
  • Stay alert to act on unauthorised room transaction and touting.
