A leading property developer in Johor, Malaysia is seeking an Executive / Senior Executive in Quantity Surveying. This role involves managing tender schedules, controlling project costs, and ensuring efficient contract management for high-rise residential projects. Candidates should have a degree in Quantity Surveying or Building Technology, along with 1 to 3 years of relevant experience. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential. Qualifications & experience
Degree in Quantity Surveying & Building Technology
Minimum 1 to 3 years working experience in the related field is required for this position
Experience in a consultancy firm or property developer is an added advantage
Experience in main building works for high‑rise residential projects
Well versed with prevailing market prices of construction works and building materials
Good analytical skills and attention to detail
Tasks & responsibilities
Establish and monitor tender schedule closely to ensure targets and timelines are met
Minimize the value and amount of Variation Order (VO) as well as avoid Extension of Time (EoT)
Ensure timely certification to suppliers and monitor closely contract and cost management
Exercise timely and accurate completion of Final Account
Obtain Competitive Bid and Award Tender in a timely manner as per schedule
Control project cost and ensure overall project budget is maintained from inception to completion
Assist in preparing Departmental Business Plan Review, Cost Budget, Strategic Sourcing, and Quarterly Review of Construction Cost
Evaluate contractor’s bid and advise on competitiveness of price, and monitor the cost of major cost elements
Handle a team of consultants, main contractors, sub‑contractors and suppliers to deliver the projects based on time, cost, quality, environmental, safety and health compliance
