Job summary
A leading bank in Kuala Lumpur seeks a professional for managing Real Estate portfolios and assessing credit proposals. The role requires strong skills in credit assessment, financial analysis, and risk management. Ideal candidates will have experience in Corporate loans and possess relevant qualifications such as CCP/PCC. Job description
Job Responsibilities
- Manage the assigned Real Estate portfolios with respective Lending Units i.e. Corporate Banking by providing independent assessment and value added input on the overall credit matters.
- Conduct thorough analysis of assigned credit proposals and assessment of data provided by Lending Unit to determine the degree of risk of existing or prospective clients, including annual review.
- Responsible for the recommendation on credit proposal to enable decision-makers to formulate well-informed decision by providing recommendations which are comprehensive, well-articulated and balanced with risk-reward consideration in mind.
- Constantly equipped with in-depth understanding of pertinent issues and the latest development in the Real Estate.
- Undertake ad-hoc assignment for better value proposition including Real Estate Strategy, relevant SPIs, ESG Risk Management Framework and Risk Acceptance Criteria.
- Provide oversight and supervise the above Sector credit matters by reporting credit risk information to internal Customers as well as interacting with other departments in the interest of achieving Bank’s objective and ensuring the asset quality and portfolio sustainability in providing return to the Bank.
Job Requirements
- Experience in processing and/or assessing Corporate/Commercial loan/Capital Market Instruments/global market.
- Loan origination experience in Corporate/Commercial loans.
- Preferably tertiary education in business related field or any professional qualification.
- Post graduate is an added advantage.
- CCP/PCC qualification or related credit qualification e.g. CSA by Omega
- Proven ability to undertake financial and cash flow analysis as well as possess good credit skills in the identification of risks in respect of borrowers, loan structures, sectors and industries.
- Confident in articulating and defending credit decision made which should be balanced decisioning.
- Proactive person with common sense and demonstration of value-added credit judgement from previous work experience.
- Active team player and possess a strong sense of responsibility and commitment.
- Undoubted integrity, strong analytical skills, delivery results, good communication skills, ability to engage/guide and strategic visioning.
- Strong teamwork with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good business writing skills, diligent and able to work independently.
