Job summary

A leading real estate firm is seeking a Facilities Technician in Kulim, Malaysia. The successful candidate will support corporate clients by performing facilities inspections, managing job requests, and maintaining essential systems. A diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and over two years of experience are required, along with skills in technical troubleshooting and effective communication. This on-site position involves a 24-hour on-call standby for critical equipment maintenance.

We are looking for: Facilities Technician

Location: Kulim, Kedah

Working Hours: Shift Rotation (7am – 7pm; 7pm – 7am; 4 days on, 2 days off)

OBJECTIVE

Successful candidates will be based at our client accounts and they will be responsible in their capacity of work in support of our corporate clients’ business needs.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Assists the Facilities Manager/Coordinator in providing facilities support and service to Client in their own designated role.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform weekly facilities inspection.
• Withdraw job request from OVSC (job request system) and execute with approval by client or the authorized person assigned by client.
• Assist FC/client representative to perform preparation for planned maintenance in CMMS system (get ready permit-to-work, assist in supervision for planned maintenance, ensure safety and health during carry job, escalation if needed).
• Prepare facilities job report for every visit in log book or in softcopy if provided.
• Includes repair/maintenance for pantry appliances (oven, fridge, related appliances).
• Provide overall assistance to FC and client representative within the job scope.
• 24 hours on-call standby for critical equipment on the following systems:
• Power system interruption (UPS, generator, switchboard, lighting, etc.).
• Cooling system abnormality (CRAC unit, air conditioning system, etc.).
• Fire protection system abnormality (FM200, CO2 system, Smoke and heat detection, fire extinguisher, VESDA and related fire monitoring/protection).
• Water leak detection system abnormality.
• Any alarm or tripping related to the above.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & KEY COMPETENCIES

• Diploma/ Certificate in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field.
• More than 2 years experience working as facility technician.
• Fire fighting training and certification from fire department is a plus.
• Charge man and electrical work certification is a plus.
• Able to work independently and with minimum supervision.
