ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN
Job summary
A leading food manufacturing company in Malaysia is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support maintenance and reliability operations. Key responsibilities include ensuring equipment operates optimally, coordinating safety compliance, and performing preventive maintenance. The ideal candidate holds a Certificate in Electrical & Mechatronics or Engineering, with 1-2 years of manufacturing experience. Strong analytical and communication skills are a must, along with proactivity and computer literacy.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience, preferably in Manufacturing.
- Good analytical skills and proactive approach.
- Good communication skills at all levels.
Responsibilities
- Ensure equipment operates at optimum condition to meet production and quality targets.
- Improve reliability and maintenance methods to reduce equipment failures.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities according to schedule.
- Diagnose equipment faults and provide accurate repair time estimates.
- Participate in safety programs and support safety-related projects.

Education
The position holder is responsible for supporting the maintenance and reliability operations of the site. This includes performing preventative and corrective maintenance, improving equipment performance, supporting projects, ensuring operational reliability, and participating in training and development initiatives. As a member of Mission Foods Malaysia, the position holder actively contributes to the continuous improvement and development of the equipment.
- 1. Ensure equipment operates at optimum condition to meet production, quality, and cost targets.
- 2. Improve reliability, maintenance methods, and processing methods to reduce equipment failures.
- 3. Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and technicians to ensure equipment is safe, compliant, and reliable.
- 4. Perform preventive maintenance activities safely and cost‑effectively according to schedule.
- 5. Participate in continuous improvement and equipment modification activities.
- 6. Contribute expertise to developing operational standards and corrective actions.
- 7. Execute corrective and preventive maintenance (PM) according to company procedures.
- 8. Participate in maintenance training and maintain accurate maintenance logs.
- 9. Diagnose equipment faults and provide accurate repair time estimates to supervisors.
- 10. Assist in spare parts requisition and inventory planning.
- 11. Adhere to assigned shift schedules and rest days as required.
- 12. Participate in safety programs and support safety‑related projects.
- 13. Ensure equipment and facilities are maintained in safe, operable condition.
- 14. Perform electrical maintenance and troubleshooting; support mechanical, pneumatic, utilities, and WWTP systems when required.
- 15. Assist in dismantling, assembling, and installing industrial machinery.
- 1. Certificate in Electrical & Mechatronics or in Engineering.
- 2. Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience preferably in Manufacturing.
- 3. Computer Literate is a must.
- 4. Good analytical skills and proactive.
- 5. Good communication skills at all levels.
