Job description

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Quality Engineer to join our manufacturing team at Wodeer Technology (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd in Tanjung Malim, Perak. As a full-time Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring product quality, supporting continuous improvement, and maintaining compliance with industry standards across our operations.

What you'll be doing:

Manage testing activities for new projects and mass production, including molds, tooling, and process products.

Oversee the measurement room, ensuring proper 6S maintenance and equipment calibration.

Maintain and update quality documents such as inspection instructions, control plans, and master samples.

Monitor production quality, perform first-article and in-process inspections, and analyze non-conforming products.

Investigate and resolve customer complaints using 8D methodology and other quality tools.

Conduct training for QC personnel and operators on testing methods and quality standards.

Perform layered, process, and product audits, and drive corrective actions.

Utilize quality tools (Seven QC Tools, 5Why, SPC, FMEA, etc.) for problem-solving and process improvement.

Ensure compliance with IATF16949, VDA6.3, and other relevant quality standards.

What we're looking for:

Diploma or degree in Electronic Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field.

Minimum 2 years of experience in IQC inspection or quality management, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing industry.

Proficiency in using 2D/3D measuring equipment, inspection tools, and understanding of mechanical drawings and GD&T.

Knowledge of quality tools (8D, 5Why, SPC, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA) and automotive quality standards.

Experience with Microsoft Office, Minitab, and ERP systems.

Familiarity with SMT, injection molding, welding, or assembly processes is an advantage.

Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to work under pressure, adapt to overtime, and travel if required.

Proficiency in the Chinese language is highly preferred.
