Job summary
A leading commercial property firm in Malaysia is seeking an experienced professional to lead commercial development projects. The role involves formulating strategies to maximize market share, conducting feasibility studies, and overseeing design development. The ideal candidate has over 10 years in commercial property development, with substantial leadership experience in retail or mixed-use projects. Qualifications
- 10+ years’ experience in commercial property development.
- At least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in retail, office, or mixed-use development projects.
Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute commercial development strategies.
- Identify and evaluate potential sites for development.
- Lead feasibility studies, financial modeling, and due diligence.
- Oversee design development to meet expectations.
- Engage with stakeholders to secure approvals and partnerships.
- Drive pre-leasing and marketing strategies.
- Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the commercial development team.
Skills
Education
- Formulate and execute commercial development strategies to maximize returns and market share.
- Identify and evaluate potential sites for retail, office, and mixed-use development.
- Lead feasibility studies, financial modeling, and project due diligence.
- Oversee design development to ensure projects meet functional, aesthetic, and market expectations.
- Engage with tenants, investors, consultants, and government agencies to secure project approvals and partnerships.
- Drive pre-leasing and marketing strategies to attract quality tenants.
- Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules to ensure timely completion.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the commercial development team.
- Degree in Real Estate, Urban Planning, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years’ experience in commercial property development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in retail, office, or mixed‑use development projects.
- Strong financial acumen and knowledge of property market dynamics.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and leadership skills.
