SKILLS AND EXPERTISE (CURTAIN INSTALLER)

Communication:

• Ability to communicate well in English. Proficiency in Bahasa Melayu is an added advantage for interacting with customers and colleagues professionally. Able to explain basic information to customers regarding curtain, rail, and accessory installation clearly and politely.

Technical Skills:

• Ability to install curtains, blinds, curtain rails, rods, and related accessories neatly and safely.
• Skilled in using work tools such as drills, screwdrivers, measuring tape, spirit level, and other hand tools.
• Able to take accurate measurements of windows or spaces to ensure proper installation.
• Able to identify wall types (concrete, wood, gypsum) and apply suitable installation techniques.

Attention to Detail:

• Careful in ensuring curtains are installed straight, secure, and neatly.
• Ensures work quality meets company standards and customer satisfaction.

Product Knowledge:

Understanding of curtain types, fabrics, blinds, rail systems, and accessories. Training will be provided for candidates with limited experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Stamina: This role requires active movement, lifting equipment, and standing for extended periods. Good physical fitness is required.
• Agility: Good hand-eye coordination for precise and safe installation work. Able to work at heights using ladders when required.
• Safety Knowledge and Procedures: Adheres to safety procedures when using tools and working at customer sites. Ensures personal safety, team safety, and protection of customer property.
• Customer-Oriented: Provides friendly and professional customer service. Respects customer premises and property during installation.

ADDITIONAL ADVANTAGES

• Related Experience: Previous experience as a curtain installer, handyman, or in related installation work is an advantage. Possession of a valid driving license and own transport is an added advantage.

OTHER QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Education Level: Minimum SPM or equivalent. Candidates without experience are encouraged to apply as training will be provided.
• Physical Fitness and Appearance: Must be physically healthy and capable of performing manual work. Neat, clean, and professional appearance when dealing with customers.
• Technical Skills: Able to handle installation tools safely. Basic knowledge of carpentry or installation work is an added advantage.
• Honesty and Integrity: Responsible, honest, and trustworthy when working at customer premises. Maintains company reputation and complies with company policies.
• Communication Skills: Able to interact with customers politely and professionally. Able to accept customer feedback with a positive attitude.
• Attitude and Discipline: Positive attitude, punctual, and committed to work. Willing to work overtime or on weekends when required.
