Job summary

A leading property development firm in Malaysia is seeking a highly qualified legal professional with a strong background in property laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have 10 to 13 years of post-qualification experience and be adept at providing practical legal solutions while working collaboratively with various stakeholders. Qualifications

  • Familiarity with HIMS and eSPA is an advantage.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Well-versed in laws and regulations relating to property development, land, and strata management, including but not limited to the Housing Development (Control and Licensing) Act (HDA), Strata Management Act (SMA), National Land Code (NLC), and matters relating to Sale and Purchase Agreements (SPA). Familiarity with the eSPA under the Housing Integrated Management System (HIMS) will be an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks governing real estate transactions, project developments, land dealings, and strata management.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide practical legal solutions and support business decision-making.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external parties.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple matters independently in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Degree in law (LLB (Hons.) or its equivalent), CLP (or its equivalent); called to the Malaysian Bar;
  • Minimum 10 to 13 years of post-qualification experience in property development, real estate and conveyancing.
