A leading manufacturing company in Malaysia seeks a Production Supervisor. The ideal candidate will oversee production activities, monitor staff performance, and implement quality control systems. Requirements include a Diploma or Degree in engineering, at least 3 years of relevant experience, and good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Speaking Mandarin is a plus. This role demands proactive problem-solving and effective team management.
Monitoring staff discipline, break hour, attendance, performance and ensure instructions are followed.
Train and educate staffs to accept new systems and implementations and ensure all given tasks are carried out to expectation.
Manage all production activities and workers within an assigned area.
Responsible for meeting targets on productivity and quality.
Responsible for implementing a supervisory control and reporting system within the area.
Full commitment is expected to ensure that total quality control is being practiced by all personnel within their authority.
Ensure machine start up on time and hygiene inspection is performed before production, and ensure operating parameters such as sealing temperature, machine speed, efficiency and wastage are under control during production running, and thorough cleaning with 5S implementation after production.
Perform regular auditing to ensure plant machineries are properly maintained and faulty machinery are to be repaired.
Report to Production Manager and liaise with technical staff, quality controllers and store personnel to obtain maximum support to achieve planned targets.
Ensure that the line operating controls and reports are completed accurately, timely and distributed to the relevant personnel.
Proactive thinking in solution and have ownership of problems and achieve total excellence.
Any other tasks assigned by superior or management.
