Prestar Precision Tube Sdn Bhd is one of the subsidiaries of a public listed company listed on the Main Board. We are engaged in manufacturing of automotive tubes, steel tubes & pipes. Requirements:

• At least 3 years working experience in production (preferably in steel manufacturing industry).
• Must have experience and skill to adjust pipe mill machine.

Job Descriptions:

Growth

• Responsible for optimize pipe mill machine's efficiency and productivity.
• Coordinate with planning to organize necessary resources to meet the production schedule or customer delivery date.
• Work closely with maintenance PIC to restore machine during breakdown to minimize production stoppage.
• Organize manpower and necessary tooling required in advance prior to production.
• Follow up closely with maintenance PIC to carry out preventive maintenance to reduce unnecessary breakdowns.
• Ensure production Supervisor or Leader or PIC to records the input and output data accurately.
• Continuous improvement on productivity by using Kaizen methodology for set-up time, speed loss, quality adjustments & etc.

Cost

• Monitor and control the consumption of direct consumables including stock keeping and replenish without shortages.
• Monitor and control the overtime cost by approving the OT form before job done.
• Prepare monthly proforma cost according to machine capacity including labour cost and direct consumable cost.

Quality

• Ensure the quality of the products meet standard or customer requirements.
• Establish, maintain and execution of SOP, WI and forms according to Quality Management System ISO9001.
• Closely monitor and discussion with QA on customer complaint and carry out improvement actions.
• Monitor and control of pipe mill's yield loss and carry out improvements by using Kaizen methodology.

People Management

• Ensure Safety of the workers are being taken care including PPE, safety awareness briefing, etc.
• Monitor and control the annual leave, medical leave, attendance and lateness of workers.
• Provide necessary On-Job-Training and briefing for workers.
• Ensure workers, leader or supervisor are adhere to Safety Operating Procedure, and review HIRADC with safety officer.
