A leading manufacturing company is hiring a Production Technician in Kulai, Johor. The role involves setting up new machines, conducting troubleshooting, and ensuring equipment performance in assembly and metrology. Candidates should possess a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields, along with at least one year of relevant experience. Skills in AutoCAD and CNC are required. Amphenol Communications Solutions – Kulai, Johor
New Machine / Line set up and data collection for new machine / line qualification.
Maintain vision system performance to ensure detection system is effective.
Participate in workshop for improvement in Quality, Cost and Delivery.
Assist engineer for evaluation and troubleshooting.
To ensure all the tools, jigs and fixture are maintained in good condition.
To ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures and legal requirements all times.
To perform trouble shooting on assembly machine / tooling & perform related repair / adjustment
To read & understand technical drawing & perform daily measurement
Any others duties that will be assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.
Metrology
Conduct First Article or Samples measurement report internal or to customer.
Conduct the mechanical test as per requirement in product qualifications.
Support Metrology Lab Engineer for new product or evaluation part approval.
Support Quality Engineer for establish Workmanship Standard for new products.
Support for OGP programming during samples measurements.
Support Metrology Lab to resolve customer complaint and in-process issue on failure analysis study, evaluation and test.
Conducting reliability test on products or components over period of time especially on mechanical test.
Ensuring that all testing equipment is properly maintained, calibrated and in good working condition. This includes troubleshooting and repairing equipment as needed.
Mechanical
Perform machine assembly, installation, and commissioning activities.
Troubleshoot, debug, and repair mechanical and automation-related issues in machinery and production lines.
Carry out mechanical fitting, alignment, and maintenance tasks.
Perform mechanical debugging on machines, jigs, and fixtures.
Operate and maintain surface grinding and milling machines (if applicable).
Respond promptly to urgent maintenance needs, including during off-hours or shifts.
Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to improve machine performance and reduce downtime.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow safety procedures at all times.
Follow safety procedures and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
Communicate any issues or required parts to the Maintenance Engineer in a timely manner.
Provide technical support to production teams during machinery breakdowns or performance issues.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Job Requirement
Candidate must possess at least Professional Certificate, Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Metal Fabrication/Tool & Die/Welding) or equivalent.
At least 1Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Required Skill(s): AutoCad, CnC
Preferably Non-Executive specialized in Manufacturing/Production Operations or equivalent.
