Job summary
A multinational engineering firm in Shah Alam is seeking a qualified individual with a Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in Electrical or Mechanical fields. The role involves verifying technical product information, creating documentation, and ensuring compliance with client quality standards. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and good communication abilities in English are essential. The position is set to hire in August and involves working with technical equipment in the oil and gas sector.
Qualifications
- Experience with technical equipment information and documentation.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Experience in oil and gas industry projects is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Verify and catalogue product information from manufacturers.
- Document items according to client requirements and standards.
- Create TEK-numbers or SPC's as agreed with the project manager.
Skills
Education
- Bachelor Degree in engineering discipline preferably in Electrical, Instrument, Mechanical, Manufacturing or Mechatronic
- Verify product information within manufacturers/vendors (Cataloguing will include contact with equipment-manufacturers for verification of a product (manufacturer-manufacturer’s part number).
- Catalogue and document items with correct quality according to Client requirements. The work will include gathering of all requested documentation and technical values for products.
- Recognize part numbers according to rules.
- Create TEK-number (or SPC’s if agreed with project manager).
- Good technical skills, especially within instrumentation system
- Has an eye for details, meticulous and efficient by nature
- Good computer skills and ability to work within expected speed.
- Very skillful and efficient in data searching for technical information, engineering specification, engineering component and parts online
- Fluent in oral and written English with the ability to coordinate work with work manager in overseas ( Norway )
- Good listening and communication skills, willing to learn new things and work extra hours.
- Experienced within work related to technical equipment information/ documentation/cataloguing/Bill of Material/ will be added advantage
- Possess good interpersonal skill and able to work independently
- Have work in the project or services related to downstream or upstream oil and gas environment.
- Matured with good analytical and problem solving skills.
- Work location at Shah Alam
- Hiring in August
