A prominent construction firm is seeking an Assistant Manager for Project Implementation in Kuala Lumpur. Responsibilities include supporting end-to-end project implementation for building construction, coordinating with various stakeholders, and preparing progress reports. Candidates should have a degree in a relevant field, at least one high-rise project experience, and strong skills in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
Responsible for supporting end-to-end project implementation for building construction projects, including coordination, progress monitoring, reporting, and stakeholder management to ensure timely delivery, quality standards, and compliance. Candidate must have at least one (1) high-rise building construction project experience, be strong in Microsoft Office (reporting & presentations), and able to perform simple drafting in AutoCAD.
Support project implementation activities from planning to site execution, testing/commissioning coordination, and handover.
Coordinate with consultants, main contractor, subcontractors, authorities, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project progress.
Monitor construction progress, identify risks/issues, track action items, and follow up on timely closure.
Assist in reviewing drawings, method statements, work schedules, and material submissions.
Conduct site visits/inspections, verify work progress, highlight non-conformance, and support rectification tracking.
Prepare and consolidate weekly/monthly progress reports, dashboards, meeting minutes, and management updates.
Prepare PowerPoint presentations for management meetings (progress, risk, key decisions required).
Support documentation control and ensure records are updated (RFI, SI, NCR, test reports, etc.).
Prepare/modify simple drawings in AutoCAD (e.g., basic layout updates, as-built mark-ups, minor amendments, coordination sketches) and coordinate drawing updates with relevant parties.
Assist in ensuring compliance with safety requirements and relevant authority/industry standards.
Perform any other duties assigned related to project implementation and coordination.
Degree or above in Construction Management / Civil Engineering / Building / Quantity Surveying / Architecture or other construction-related disciplines.
Minimum 1 high-rise building construction project experience (residential/commercial mixed development is an advantage).
AutoCAD skill is required (simple drafting / minor amendments / mark-ups).
Well-versed in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and presentation.
Good understanding of construction sequencing, site coordination, and project documentation processes.
Strong communication and coordination skills; able to manage multiple stakeholders.
Able to work independently, manage priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
Willing to travel to sites when required.
