A leading technology firm located in Selangor, Malaysia, is seeking an IT Administrator to provide technical support for hardware and software systems. The ideal candidate must have a Diploma/Degree in IT and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a related position. Provide comprehensive technical support for hardware, software, network access, and business applications to all onsite end-users.
Conduct remote troubleshooting and elevate critical issues to the technical team as needed.
Ensure effective server backup and disaster recovery strategies are in place.
Collaborate closely with third-party vendors for the deployment and maintenance of hardware, software, and PC assets.
Manage IT Licenses which includes all software such as Office 365 and other software.
Maintain compliance with cybersecurity policies and procedures, focusing on server and system hardening.
Monitor and report on security vulnerabilities, implementing necessary patches and remediation actions.
Document processes and procedures, updating existing documentation, including system and user manuals.
Safeguard the security of the IT environment through regular security patching and firewall management.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, partners and suppliers to enhance IT service delivery.
Install and maintain essential internal infrastructure components, including servers, routers, switches, and firewalls.
Proactively monitor and address activity security incidents, ensuring timely resolution of potential threats.
Other duties and assignments are to be assigned by the management as and when necessary.
Candidate must possess with Diploma/ Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as IT Administrator System, System Administrator, or related position.
Knowledge of computer system, printer and network equipment.
Solid experience of supporting users at 1st, 2nd and 3rd levels including remote users.
Experience in Windows, Storage, SAN, NAS, O365 and virtual environment.
Candidates fluent in Mandarin preferred as job role is required to communicate in Mandarin.
