An established firm in Malaysia is seeking an experienced accountant to manage daily accounting functions such as accounts payable and petty cash. The ideal candidate should hold a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce and possess at least three years of relevant experience. Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel is essential. The role requires communication skills in English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Melayu, especially for interactions with Mandarin-speaking clients. This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while ensuring accurate financial record-keeping.
To handle daily accounting functions included Account Payable, Petty cash, staff claims, etc.
To ensure proper maintenance of record, documentation & filling to support all accounting entries.
Involve in the review and preparation of full set of accounts and supporting schedules for audit and tax purposes.
Monitor work progress of data entry clerk to ensure delivery of work.
Prepare statement of account on monthly basis.
Assist in monthly account closing.
Any other assignment as assigned by superior.
Degree in Accounting / Finance / Commerce with at least three (3) years of direct working experience in the field of accounting and / or finance.
Must be proficient in computerised accounting system (ERP) and Microsoft Excel.
Willingness to learn and ability to meet deadlines.
Able to speak and write in English / Mandarin / Bahasa Melayu. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
