Job summary
A financial services firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a professional to manage full sets of accounts and conduct statutory audits for various clients. The role involves preparing financial statements in line with MFRS/IFRS standards, ensuring compliance with audit requirements, and communicating effectively with clients. Candidates should have relevant accounting qualifications and strong analytical skills. This is an excellent opportunity for growth in the accounting and auditing field.
Qualifications
- Ability to prepare and maintain a full set of accounts.
- Experience with MFRS/IFRS financial statements.
- Knowledge of statutory audits and auditing standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain full set of accounts for clients.
- Conduct statutory audits and ensure compliance.
- Prepare audit working papers and draft reports.
Skills
Education
Prepare and maintain full set of accounts for clients (including AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliation).
Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and documented.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with MFRS/IFRS.
Support clients in budget preparation, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
Conduct statutory audits for a portfolio of clients in various industries.
Perform audit fieldwork including testing of controls, verification of documents, and analytical reviews.
Ensure compliance with approved auditing standards and regulatory requirements.
Prepare audit working papers and draft audit reports.
Identify audit findings and communicate them clearly to clients and audit seniors/managers.
Maintain good communication and relationships with clients.
Provide prompt responses to clients’ accounting, audit, and tax-related inquiries.
Coordinate with relevant authorities such as LHDN, SSM, and EPF/SOCSO when required.
