Job summary

A leading airport operator seeks a Chargeman for maintenance and operation of electrical systems in Sibu. This role involves managing electrical equipment operations, conducting repairs, planning maintenance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Ideal candidates should possess hands-on skills in electrical installations, experience with High Tension (HT) and Low Voltage (LV), and a Lower Pressure / Tension Certificate. This position is open to Malaysian citizens, with applications closing on 5 February 2026.

Qualifications

• Hands-on skills in maintenance and operation of electrical installation.
• Experience with High Tension (HT) and Low Voltage (LV) systems.

POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

Assisting BO Chargeman ( For airport with HV) in term of responsibility to the overall electrical installation in term of how it being manned ; handled
and controlled. Responsible for the overall electrical installation (under BO Chargeman for airport with HV) in term of work and job handling by giving
writing instruction to person/workers under his control.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

• Managing site operations of electrical equipment or systems as specification (LV System) with or without standby generator.
• To carry out repair and maintenance job related to voltage electrical installation and testing; also executing maintenance and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
• Planning on tools and equipment needed to perform a job and equipment or systems rectification as per standard requirement.
• Responsible for the installation of equipment; machines; wiring; or programs to meet specifications and to assist Technician during inspection and repair of underground cable.
• Investigation and identifying essential information before adjusting actions in relation to others' actions.
• Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents and correctly follow or direct a given rules in order to arrange things or actions in a certain order. The things or actions can include numbers; letters; words; pictures; procedures and requisitions for any electrical operations and maintenance.
• Under certain condition; competence control shall be practices to other identified electrical personnel with clear writing instruction and job task that is within his knowledge and responsibility.
• To carry out preventive maintenance inspection for AGL; HT and LV systems
• To make sure compliance with the standard and regulatory requirement.
• Execution of tests to determine whether equipment, software, or procedures are operating as expected.
• Propose problems solving and involvement in preparation of the incident report.
