What does a Senior Portfolio Manager do?

To support management of the Product Line strategy, growth, profitability and sustainability aligned with the market and development strategies within 3-5 years horizon.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, coordinate and drive the monthly Portfolio meetings in presence of all production site functions (Supply chain, R&D, planning, purchasing), meant to take and agree on strategy related decisions.
• Delivering growth matching portfolio targets linked to strategy and innovation execution, both in the short (1-2 years) and long-term horizon (3-5 years).
• Delivering system and product developments on time, by also developing & executing the Portfolio Sustainability Roadmap. Monthly update of projects masterplan providing accuracy
• Accountable leader for “short” supply-chain-related PLE (product line extension) projects
• Close cooperation with Marketing and Marketing-Communication team for new product introductions : creation of toolbox, value proposition & support to sales training
• Close interaction with sales to ensure portfolio communication and updates are delivered & to collect inputs from sales
• Working with Supply Chain to deliver cost & quality improvements; participating in regular calls to review demand & supply trends trying to solve issues or production bottlenecks.
• Implementing the pricing strategy by updating pricelists, also by cleaning low margin / slow moving products on an ongoing basis

Qualifications

• Ability to liaise, influence and coordinate across functions and countries.
• Market knowledge and analysis to help identify future customer needs.
• Good product and financial skills to work on business case and product cost analysis.
• Creativity to help develop product strategies, with the drive to develop and introduce these new systems into the marketplace.
• Curiosity and willingness to embrace & improve processes to make them more efficient
• Good communication skills combined with willingness to embrace new ideas
• Fluent in English and preferably another additional language(s)
• Understanding of the Company’s business systems - SAP, regulatory tools, etc.
