Position

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Director to join our Business Development team. This role involves driving growth and expanding Retex’s clientele by identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and negotiating and closing deals.

The Role You Will Play :

  1. Strategic Vision: As a Business Development Director, you will be the driving force behind Retex’s growth, identifying and securing new business opportunities. Your strategic insights will position Retex as a key partner in marketing and communication, fostering opportunities across our offerings.
  2. Industry Expertise: Analyzing specific industries and attracting relevant prospects, you will conduct research, monitoring, and audits in coordination with relevant directors. Your expertise will ensure Retex remains at the forefront of industry trends, delivering tailored solutions.
  3. Client-Centric Approach: Promoting our products and services by addressing or predicting clients’ objectives, developing value propositions based on their needs with a consultative, systemic, approach. Building rapport and collaboration skills are essential for success.
  4. Sales Excellence: Developing sales strategies for prospects, identifying opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling related to new services/products. Your negotiation skills and commercial awareness will drive the sales process from plan to close.
  5. Project Management: Overseeing the management and coordination of marketing and communication projects, ensuring their successful execution from inception to completion, including participation in RFPs and ensuring high standards of quality and client satisfaction.

Requirements

While you may not have all these, we believe you would excel with these characteristics:

  • Educational and Professional Mastery: At least 5 years of experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Executive, or similar, preferably with a background in Marketing & Communications. Experience with clients in sectors like Consumer & Hard Goods, Health & Pharma, Telco & Utilities, Travel & Services is a plus.
  • Technical Fluency: Proven success in sales and business development, with a focus on client growth. Ability to drive sales from plan to close is essential.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional negotiation skills and commercial awareness. Proficiency in Italian and English (at least B2) to collaborate effectively internally and externally.
  • Initiative and Organization: Ability to build rapport and collaborate within and outside the company. Proactive and results-driven attitude is key.
