Job summary
A leading recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant for a full-time permanent position in Hixon, Staffordshire. Responsibilities include maintaining financial records, managing accounts payable/receivable, and performing reconciliations. Candidates must have experience in a similar role and be proficient in accounting software and Excel. This position offers a competitive salary of GBP24,500 per annum, working a 4-day week, Monday to Thursday.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as Accounts Assistant, Bookkeeper, or Accounts Clerk required.
- Experience in using accounting software and competent in Excel.
- Ability to write clear financial reports for stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software.
- Perform general ledger accounting and reconciliations.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Conduct bank reconciliation for transaction accuracy.
- Collaborate with departments for financial reporting.
Skills
We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join our client, a UK leading manufacturer within their HQ located in Hixon, Staffordshire. This is a full time permanent role from day one.
- Monday to Thursday, 07:30 to 17:00
- 4 day week, every week
- Salary: GBP24,500 p/annum
- Permanent job
- Maintain accurate and up–to–date financial records using accounting software, as well as Excel
- Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Conduct bank reconciliation to ensure accuracy in all financial transactions.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial reporting and support for decision–making processes.
- Sales order and Purchase order processing and management
- Previous experience Accounts Assistant, Bookkeeper, or Accounts Clerk role is required
- Experience in using accounting software and be a competent user of Excel
- Familiarity with financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and account analysis
- Ability to write clear financial reports that effectively communicate complex information to stakeholders
- Have your own transport due to location of work
