An educational staffing agency is looking for a Design Technology Teacher specializing in Food Technology and Resistant Materials for a full-time, long-term role in Coventry starting March 2026. The ideal candidate will have QTS and confidence in delivering remote lessons. Responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging lessons via Zoom for KS3 and KS4 students, along with managing classroom behavior and tracking progress. We are recruiting a confident and adaptable Design Technology Teacher to join a Coventry secondary provision from March 2026. This full-time, long-term role involves teaching KS3 and KS4 Design Technology, with a specialism in Food Technology and/or Resistant Materials.
Unusually, this role includes delivering lessons live via Zoom, so you must be comfortable teaching in a virtual environment while maintaining engagement, behaviour and academic standards. You will plan and deliver practical and theory-based content, adapting schemes of work to suit remote delivery where required.
Full teaching responsibilities apply, including planning, assessment, marking and tracking student progress.
You must hold QTS, although ECTs are welcome to apply. The ideal candidate will have strong subject knowledge in Food Technology and/or Resistant Materials, alongside the confidence to deliver high-quality remote lessons. Strong classroom (and virtual classroom) management, clear communication skills and the ability to engage students through digital platforms are essential.
