Job summary
A recruitment agency in Inverurie is looking for a Mechanic to handle workshop duties involving diesel-driven equipment and maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate should have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, along with relevant mechanic training certifications. This role requires strong teamwork and the ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Time served Mechanic with certificates of training.
- Semi-skilled Mechanic with relevant training.
Responsibilities
- Undertake workshop duties and follow instructions.
- Work on diesel driven equipment/packages.
- Repair, refurbish, upgrade top side equipment.
- Maintain workshop timesheet on tablet device.
Skills
Responsible for undertaking jobs and work instruction from Workshop Supervisor and of the company’s operational activities.
Key Responsibilities and Authority:
- General workshop duties.
- Working on diesel driven equipment/packages.
- Fault finding and creating reports.
- Working on own or as part of a team.
- Repairing, refurbishing, upgrading and maintenance on top side equipment.
- Following company job cards and detailed work scopes.
- Keeping workshop timesheet up to date on all jobs on their own tablet device.
- Following organisational integrated management system policies and procedures in compliance to ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and other legal requirements.
- Participating in HSEQ training or other identified training and personal development.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assisting with any customer and/or third-party tasks.
- Representing the company in a professional manner both on and off the job.
- Performing any other duties as directed by the Management Team.
- Assisting with Forklift when required.
Person Specification:
Key Competencies, Skills, Experience and/or Training Requirements:
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Time served Mechanic with certificates of training to back this up.
- Semi-skilled Mechanic (depending on the needs and requirements of the business) with certificates of training to back this up.
