ABOUT THIS ROLE
The Marketing Manager is responsible for leading and planning, coordination and operational delivery of all marketing activity across Stagecoach and Drama Kids.
They are responsible for turning the Head of Marketing’s strategic direction into actionable, insight‑led campaign plans, ensuring consistent messaging, clear brand storytelling, and measurable results. The postholder works closely with the Campaign & Digital Performance Manager and Senior Content Manager on executing the strategic direction and campaign plans.
This is a role that ensures campaign continuity, social‑media excellence, and franchisee engagement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Campaign Planning & Coordination
- Manage and lead the planning and coordination of all national student‑recruitment campaigns, ensuring alignment across digital, print, PR and social channels.
- Work in partnership with the Campaign & Digital Performance Manager, who owns digital execution including paid digital, SEO and performance optimisation.
- Responsible for translating the annual strategy into termly campaign calendars, briefs and toolkits for franchisee adoption.
- Collaborate with the Senior Content Manager on creative concepts, messaging, and campaign materials.
- Responsible for monitoring campaign performance, using insights provided by the Digital Manager to refine future plans.
- Ensure all campaigns align with the “Creative Courage for Life®” brand positioning.
- Maintain the central campaign planner, ensuring visibility of status, risks, and priorities across the team.
- Work closely with internal departments and Franchise Support to ensure marketing initiatives align with business needs.
Social Media & Community Growth
- Own and implement the organic social‑media strategy for Stagecoach, Drama Kids and Trafalgar Education.
- Partner with the Senior Content Manager on engaging, on‑brand storytelling across Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube Shorts.
- Partner with the Senior Content Manager to produce creative assets for social use.
- Develop social‑media pillars, calendars and guides for consistent posting.
- Analyse engagement metrics and share insights to improve reach, retention and conversion.
- Champion local franchisee use of social media through guidance, templates and training.
Brand & Content Integration
- Act as the operational hub of the marketing team, ensuring smooth workflow and team alignment.
- Ensure consistent application of brand messaging and visuals across all marketing channels.
- Partner with the Content Studio to brief and approve photography, video and graphics for national campaigns.
- Collaborate with the Franchise Marketing Executive to deliver campaign toolkits and manage roll‑out timelines.
- Maintain high creative standards while adapting content for different audiences and territories.
Insight, Measurement & Reporting
- Maintain the central campaign planner, ensuring visibility of status, risks, and priorities across the team.
- Produce campaign summary insights and recommendations for the Head of Marketing and senior stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement of processes, templates, and ways of working.
- Monitor and track Marketing budgets and projects for Department, surfacing blockers early and proposing solutions.
- In the absence of the Head of Marketing, responsible for managing and coordinating all campaigns and reporting performance to the senior stakeholders.
Administration
- Respond accordingly to emails / telephone calls for the network.
- Deal with ad‑hoc projects as and when required.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED
Essential
- Minimum 5 years’ marketing experience, ideally within education, children’s activities, or franchising.
- Degree / Professional Qualification in Marketing and / or Performing Arts.
- Proven record in planning and managing integrated marketing campaigns.
- Strong understanding of social‑media strategy and content marketing.
- Excellent organisational, project‑management and stakeholder‑communication skills.
- Ability to interpret data and translate insight into action.
- Experience leading a small team and coordinating cross‑functional projects.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Confident communicator and collaborative team player.
- Self‑starter who can work under their own initiative and needs minimal oversight to achieve goals.
- Must be prepared to travel if required.
Desirable
- Experience working in youth‑education sector.
- Knowledge of CRM and marketing‑automation tools (HubSpot, Mailchimp).
- Working knowledge of campaign performance measuring tools (GA4, Hubspot, Ahrefs / SEMRush etc.).
- Experience and / or understanding of business and consumer business models.
- Experience in CRM systems.
- Marketing Automation software knowledge.
- A keen passion for the performing arts industry.
Other Requirements
- Occasional travel within the UK to events, conferences and schools.
- Occasional evening / weekend work around campaign or event peaks.
