The Legal Officer works closely with the Senior Legal Officer and Mercator client servicing teams in various locations, assisting in providing services to multinational clients to meet increasing regulatory and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• You have a degree in Law and at least 1 year of experience providing corporate services to international clients, or alternatively, 2+ years of corporate law experience.
• Fluent in French and possess an advanced level of English.
• Flexible, proactive, with a high level of attention to detail.
• Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Your Role

• Act independently and assist senior colleagues in providing corporate subsidiary governance services to clients worldwide.
• Prepare and review legal documents throughout all stages of the company lifecycle, from incorporation to dissolution, in accordance with legal requirements and deadlines.
• Perform and monitor statutory filings with local authorities.
• Coordinate with clients, partners, and colleagues globally to gather information and documentation needed for assignments.
• Ensure compliance with client, local, international, and industry-specific requirements, and share relevant legal updates.
• Maintain data accuracy and ensure proper reporting.
