Position Details:
This vacancy is based in Wismar. We aim to create a total of 1,500 new jobs by 2029.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the "Production Planning and Scheduling" team, managing staff both disciplinarily and technically.
- Responsible for planning and controlling the production of surface and underwater ships.
- Optimize existing processes and actively participate in developing and applying procedures and tools, especially considering the specific requirements of surface and underwater shipbuilding at the site.
- Identify process improvement potentials and coordinate these with process owners.
- Manage knowledge and safeguard the core competencies of the group. Responsible for designing, optimizing, and implementing resource deployment measures.
- Proactively and systematically develop your employees.
- Ensure the quality, timeliness, and cost compliance of your work packages.
Profile:
- Successfully completed studies in shipbuilding, mechanical engineering, ship operation technology, business informatics, or a comparable field.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in shipbuilding, including a minimum of 2 years in a leadership or comparable responsibility.
- Knowledge of technical application of QM-specific standards such as ISO 9001/9100 AQAP and marine construction regulations.
- Proven experience in leading and developing staff, with effective and convincing communication skills.
- High interface competence, responsibility, and a commercial mindset.
- Experience in team leadership and development, with excellent communication and motivation skills.
- Strong conceptual skills, construction/process knowledge, and experience in system integration.
- Excellent communication skills in German and English, both written and spoken.
- Willingness to travel for visits to partners, suppliers, or national/international shipyards.
