Position Details:

This vacancy is based in Wismar. We aim to create a total of 1,500 new jobs by 2029.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the "Production Planning and Scheduling" team, managing staff both disciplinarily and technically.
  2. Responsible for planning and controlling the production of surface and underwater ships.
  3. Optimize existing processes and actively participate in developing and applying procedures and tools, especially considering the specific requirements of surface and underwater shipbuilding at the site.
  4. Identify process improvement potentials and coordinate these with process owners.
  5. Manage knowledge and safeguard the core competencies of the group. Responsible for designing, optimizing, and implementing resource deployment measures.
  6. Proactively and systematically develop your employees.
  7. Ensure the quality, timeliness, and cost compliance of your work packages.
Profile:
  1. Successfully completed studies in shipbuilding, mechanical engineering, ship operation technology, business informatics, or a comparable field.
  2. At least 5 years of professional experience in shipbuilding, including a minimum of 2 years in a leadership or comparable responsibility.
  3. Knowledge of technical application of QM-specific standards such as ISO 9001/9100 AQAP and marine construction regulations.
  4. Proven experience in leading and developing staff, with effective and convincing communication skills.
  5. High interface competence, responsibility, and a commercial mindset.
  6. Experience in team leadership and development, with excellent communication and motivation skills.
  7. Strong conceptual skills, construction/process knowledge, and experience in system integration.
  8. Excellent communication skills in German and English, both written and spoken.
  9. Willingness to travel for visits to partners, suppliers, or national/international shipyards.
