The main purpose of the position is to open up markets where the Company is not represented and / or have no Distributers in the given country.
The employee will be based in Gauteng.
Extensive travel is expected to Various locations across Africa and most countries in the African continent.
Person should be a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to spearhead the Company's growth initiatives across the African continent.
Will be responsible for identifying new market opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth by expanding our client base and solution adoption in key African markets.
This role requires a deep understanding of the African business landscape, strong negotiation skills, and a proven track record in B2B sales and business development.
Market Analysis & Strategy : Conduct in-depth market research to identify new business opportunities, emerging trends, and competitive landscapes across various African countries.
Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies aligned with company objectives.
Proactively identify, qualify, and pursue new business leads.
Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, ensuring consistent progress through all stages of the sales cycle.
Establish and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders, potential clients, partners, and industry influencers across Africa.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.
Lead complex sales cycles from initial contact to contract closure.
Develop compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches tailored to client needs.
Negotiate terms and conditions to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
Work closely with internal teams (e.g., Marketing, Product, Legal, Operations) to ensure seamless client onboarding, successful project delivery, and continuous customer satisfaction.
Provide regular, accurate reports on business development activities, pipeline status, sales forecasts, and market insights.
Utilize CRM tools effectively to manage all sales-related data.
Understand and adapt to the diverse cultural, economic, and regulatory environments within different African markets.
Relevant tertiary qualification beneficial Must have a deep understanding and experience of the African business landscape, strong negotiation skills, and a proven track record in B2B sales and business development.
