Introduction

ArcelorMittal South Africa is recruiting for a Quality Controller based at our Vereeniging Operations.

Key Performance Areas

• Coordination and control of all shift activities
• Resolving problems occurring on shift
• Maintaining SHE standards in the inspection area
• Maintaining quality standards in the inspection area
• Inspection of material, including final product, in-process material, and customer returns, as required
• Investigation of defects and quality mixes
• Taking responsibility for the use and care of all inspection equipment
• Assistance with quality issues in the production line
• Recovery and rework of material

Qualifications

• Maths and Science Compulsory
• 100% competent at current role level (Applicable to internal employees)

Experience

• Minimum 3 years in an inspection environment
• Inspection, testing methods: Visual and Dimensional inspection, MPI, UT, Defect Evaluation
• Computer literate
• Must be able to read and understand customer and international specifications
• Ultrasonic Testing (UT) - Level 2
• Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) - Level 2
