Job Location

Job Purpose

To supervise the raw material warehousing operation and contract packaging requirements.

Key Accountabilities and Outputs
  • Supervise raw materials and manage movement controls between sites.
  • Manage stock counts and ensure stock accuracy.
  • Ensure availability of raw materials for production.
  • Responsible for accurate batch weighing according to BOM.
  • Apply stock management principles to reduce redundant and expired stock.
  • Support third-party distributors with stock management.
  • Redesign warehouse processes related to stock management and movement.
  • Analyze warehouse variances to identify risks.
  • Train staff in stock management principles.
  • Manage audit documentation for stock management.
  • Compile and distribute weekly stock reports.
  • Monitor KPIs related to stock management and control.
  • Analyze waste and develop action plans to reduce it.
  • Manage stock management systems and software.
  • Analyze stock reconciliations for accuracy and challenges.
  • Coordinate forecast and production communication for outsourced manufacturing.
  • Control movement of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Ensure accuracy of raw materials and packaging across warehouses.
  • Liaise with finance on yields and waste recons.
  • Plan collection with logistics.
  • Adhere to Quality, Food Safety, Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
  • Enforce food safety and health regulations.
  • Maintain personal hygiene and contamination control.
  • Implement health and safety measures and incident reporting.
  • Stay updated with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and GMPs.
  • Attend and enforce training related to quality, safety, and health.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the work environment.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Logistics / Inventory Qualification / NQF 6 / Diploma
  • Grade 12 / Matric / NQF level 4 (Essential)
  • Up to 4 years operational experience in inventory management
  • Supervisory experience in FMCG
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Email
