To lead, manage, and optimize the end-to-end transportation and logistics operations, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and timely movement of goods across the supply chain. This role is responsible for overseeing fleet operations, managing third-party logistics providers, ensuring compliance, and driving performance improvements in transportation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership:
• Develop and implement transportation and logistics strategies aligned with company objectives.
• Lead initiatives for route optimization, fuel efficiency, and cost control.
• Transportation Management:
• Oversee daily transportation operations including fleet management (owned and/or outsourced).
• Manage scheduling, dispatching, and tracking of shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
• Develop KPIs and dashboards to monitor transport performance (OTIF, cost per km, etc.).
• Team Leadership:
• Manage and develop the transportation and logistics team (drivers, dispatchers, planners).
• Provide training and support to improve efficiency, safety, and service quality.
• Vendor & Partner Management:
• Negotiate and manage contracts with transport service providers.
• Monitor service levels and performance of 3PLs and freight forwarders.
• Compliance & Safety:
• Ensure transportation operations comply with local, national, and international regulations.
• Implement safety policies and ensure driver training, vehicle inspections, and accident response protocols.
• Budget & Cost Control:
• Prepare and manage the transportation budget.
• Identify and execute cost-saving initiatives without compromising service levels.
• Technology & Systems:
• Implement and manage logistics software (TMS, GPS tracking, ERP integration).
• Utilize data analytics to drive continuous improvement and transparency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (MBA is a plus).
• 7+ years of experience in logistics and transportation management, including leadership roles.
• Experience managing fleets (owned and/or outsourced) and working with 3PL providers.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, routing, and vehicle maintenance.
• Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions.

Preferred Certifications:

• Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD), or similar.
