Job Responsibilities
- Create procedures for packaging, logistics, and related activities.
- Coordinate shipments across all modes of transportation—road, air, and ocean—monitoring daily activities.
- Collaborate with sales and operations support teams to improve customer order handling.
- Maintain relationships and work closely with freight forwarders according to NOV guidelines.
- Arrange transportation services to meet customer needs and production schedules.
- Ensure accurate documentation and inventory transactions to support internal and external customer service.
- Manage planning and maintenance of the organization’s product-transporting vehicles.
- Keep track of cargo transportation procedures.
- Maintain logistical operations within financial constraints without compromising effectiveness.
- Coordinate the use of storage facilities such as warehouses to optimize space.
- Arrange outbound shipments for customers and branches with warehouse and operations support.
- Follow applicable logistics rules and regulations.
- Negotiate shipping and logistics costs with suppliers and clients to enhance the supply chain.
- Create import/export documentation, including Saber, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
- Communicate directly with customers’ traffic/warehouse departments to meet transportation requirements.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound transportation for purchased items and outside processing.
- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
- Comply with NOV and HSE policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Minimum of two years of experience in logistics.
- Ability to independently respond to customer requests or complaints.
- Strong coordination and planning skills.
- Knowledge of equipment used for storage and shipping.
- Familiarity with logistics laws, regulations, and standards.
- Practical experience with ERP software.
- Ability to achieve results with minimal supervision.
- Excellent time management and record-keeping skills.
